Wind Advisory through 4:00 a.m. tomorrow (4-23) & updated severe weather info for tonight.(2)….

Issued at 8:00 p.m. at 4/22/2018 – According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Birmingham, Elmore County continues to be located in a Marginal risk area for severe weather that will continue through midnight to 1:00 a.m. tonight. The threats will be brief tornadoes and damaging winds gusts up to 60 mph. The risk area in central Alabama is generally along and south line from Vernon to Birmingham to Wedowee.

The NWS has included Elmore County in a Wind Advisory that is in effect until 4:00 a.m. tomorrow morning (4-23-2018). The strongest winds will be possible through 4:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. Winds will be 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 35 to 40 mph will be possible. These winds could cause large limbs and smaller trees to fall.
