The latest update concerning Alberto and its potential impacts to Central Alabama.
There have been no significant changes to the ongoing forecast since this morning. We still anticipate the main impact to be potential for flash flooding beginning late Sunday into Monday and continuing through Wednesday. Right now, we’re forecasting generally 3-4″ of rain across Central Alabama, but there will most certainly be localized higher totals. Also, please remember that our impacts could change depending on the strength and track of the system.
I have attached the latest Tropical Update graphic (based on the 4PM NHC
advisory) and the updated statewide QPF graphic.
