Issued at 4:30 p.m. on 3/19/2018 – Below is the latest graphic issued by the NWS in Birmingham that describes the severe weather threats and the timing of the threats. At this time the primary severe weather threat is associated with the front as it moves through the tonight. Most likely between 9:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.. All modes of severe weather are possible beginning with the early afternoon storms through the front moving through later this evening. Damaging winds, large hail and strong tornadoes are possible with this system. Severe thunderstorms development ahead of this front cannot be ruled out.
