Update on Subtropical Storm Alberto – 5-27-2018(1)….

10:30 a.m. on 5/27/2018 –

According to the NWS Office in Birmingham, Subtropical Storm Alberto is forecast to make landfall tomorrow morning and move north into Alabama. At this point, the primary threat that we will be dealing with in Elmore County is flash flooding with 4 to 6 inches of rainfall forecasted from Sunday evening through Wednesday morning. Wind gusts may reach 30 to 40 mph from Monday afternoon through mid-day Tuesday. Also, there will be a Marginal (low end) tornado threat due to being on the east side of the system as it moves through the area.
