According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Birmingham, Elmore County is located in the Slight risk area for severe weather today. According to the NWS a few severe storms are possible across Central Alabama today from Noon to 7 PM. Isolated damaging winds and a couple of tornadoes will be possible. More specifically, the primary time frame for Elmore County to experience severe weather is between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Below is a graphic from the NWS describing the severe weather threat along with the expected timeline at this point.
