Posted as of 2:30 P.M. Elmore County remains under a slight risk for severe weather for today, Thursday, March 24. According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, there is a risk for severe thunderstorms today across all of central Alabama, mainly in the afternoon, evening and early night time hours. Below is an updated graphic provided by the NWS office in Birmingham that depicts the threat area, timing and type of hazards we could see in central Alabama.
