Severe Weather Threat ~ Noon today – 8:00 p.m. ~ June 1, 2018

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Office in Birmingham the threat for severe storms this afternoon has increased a bit since yesterday. Below is a graphic provided by the NWS a short time ago, that describes the severe weather threats that we may see. Damaging winds up to 70 mph and hail up to golf ball size will be possible in the bright orange and yellow shaded areas, with the best chance in the orange shaded area. As you can see in the graphic below Elmore County is the area of a Slight Risk according to the NWS. Severe storms will be possible between noon and 8 PM this afternoon.
