The National Weather Service in Birmingham has included in their forecast this morning a Slight risk for the chance of severe storms, mainly south of the I-22 corridor and west of I-65. Current forecast timing is between 10AM and 6PM. Damaging straight line winds of 60mph and the possibility of a tornado will be the primary hazards. Below is a graphic from the NWS that describes the severe weather threat and timing of the threat at this time.
