Posted at 8:50 a.m. on 4/13/2018 – According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, Elmore County is in the Enhanced risk area for severe weather development for Saturday into Sunday morning. Areas located in the Enhanced risk area may see tornadoes and/or damaging winds up to 60 mph. According to the NWS there is still uncertainty in regards to timing of when the system will move through central Alabama. Severe storms are possible across all of Central Alabama on Saturday.
