National Preparedness Month ~Week 3~ Are you protected?

Floods are the most common and costly natural disaster in the U.S.  Are you protected?  #PrepareNow

The Elmore County Emergency Management Agency would like to remind our citizens that September is National Preparedness Month.  The website Ready.gov has vital information on how we can prepare our families, homes, schools, and places of work for times of emergency.  It offers tips on making an emergency plan, ways to educate our children on safety, and reminders to check our home safety devices (NOAA Weather Radios, Smoke Detectors, and Carbon Monoxide Detectors).

This week we would like for citizens to “Check Your Coverage”.  Visit floodsmart.gov to learn more about the importance of flood insurance.
