The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Elmore County in east central Alabama...
  Central Tallapoosa County in east central Alabama...
  Northern Montgomery County in south central Alabama...

* Until 900 AM CDT Wednesday.

* At 254 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Two to three inches of rain are 
  falling on saturated soils. Flash flooding is expected to begin 
  shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Montgomery, Prattville, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Tallassee, Dadeville,
  Camp Hill, Elmore, Coosada, Deatsville, Eclectic, Jacksons' Gap,
  Waverly, Martin Dam, Hyundai Motors Of Alabama, Santuck, Auburn
  University In Montgomery, Titus, Woodcrest and Ten Cedar Estates.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
