The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Macon County in southeastern Alabama...
  Elmore County in east central Alabama...
  Northeastern Montgomery County in south central Alabama...
  Southwestern Tallapoosa County in east central Alabama...

* Until 900 PM CST

* At 558 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
  begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Northern Montgomery, Prattville, Millbrook, Tuskegee, Wetumpka,
  Tallassee, Notasulga, Milstead, Elmore, Coosada, Deatsville,
  Eclectic, Shorter, Franklin, Emerald Mountain, Kowaliga Bridge,
  Jordan Lake, Boylston, Waugh and Lagoon Park.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
