Posted 8:00 a.m. April 1, 2016, Elmore County’s severe weather threat will have a break this morning. However it will ramp back up with a limited threat due to the heating of the day. Weather statements and graphics are provided from the Birmingham forecast office below:
PM Severe Threat
Isolated severe storms are possible this afternoon from around Noon through 6PM, southeast of a line from Lafayette to Selma. Damaging winds will be the main threat with stronger storms.
Flood Threat
Localized flash flooding due to several waves of heavy rainfall will be possible across Central Alabama through tonight. A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for all of Central Alabama through 1AM Saturday morning.
