Update on severe weather threat for Elmore County for Saturday into Sunday, April 14 -15, 2018 (2)….

Posted at 2:15 p.m. on 4/13/2018 – According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Birmingham, Elmore County continues to be included the Enhanced risk area for severe weather development for Saturday into Sunday morning. Areas located in the Enhanced risk area may see tornadoes and/or damaging winds up to 60 mph. According to the NWS there is still uncertainty in regards to timing of when the system will move through central Alabama and what weather impacts we may or may not see. Severe storms are possible across all of Central Alabama on Saturday. Below is a graphic from the NWS that describes the severe weather threat and the potential timing of the system.
