Marginal Threat for Severe Storms Tuesday Night thru Wednesday Morning (April 3 – April 4, 2018)

Issued at 10:30 a.m. – According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham there is a low confidence Marginal Threat for severe storms across the majority of Elmore County during the late night and early morning hours between 11:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.  The storm system will be weakening by the time it reaches our area, but there will still be a possibility of damaging winds, as well as a brief tornado could be possible.

There are no flooding risk associated with this storm as we are predicted to get only a half inch of rain or less.

Since this is an overnight event the National Weather Service in Birmingham, along with Elmore County EMA, reminds everyone to use their NOAA Weather Radio for watches and warnings that might be issued.
