HAPPENING NOW: Major Update to CSX Rail Crossings Maintenance Schedule

5:15:01 PM 03/08/2017  CSX has provided the Elmore County EMA with their latest update to their rail crossings maintenance schedule.

The following schedule and status of rail crossings maintenance is provided for your information and planning:

Prattville Junction Rd (City of Millbrook) is nearly completed and is expected to open by 6:00 p.m. this evening.

Rodgers Drive (City of Millbrook) is nearly completed and is expected to open tomorrow.

Coosada Road (Town of Coosda) is nearly completed and is expected to open by 9:00 p.m. tonight.

Pecan Grove Road (Town of Coosada) is CLOSED and will remain closed overnight. Work will resume in the morning and is expected to be completed by sometime tomorrow.

Gas Plant Street (off of Coosada Parkway) is CLOSED at the crossing. Work is expected to be completed by late Thursday, March 9, 2017. The road will be temporarily re-opened with a gravel drive later today, allowing access this evening and during the overnight hours.

Politic Road (Town of Elmore) is CLOSED at the rail crossing for scheduled maintenance.

The information below reflects maintenance still to be completed:

Roads scheduled to close Thursday, March 9, 2017 or the week of March 13 – 16, 2017:

Jackson Street (Town of Elmore) is still pending closure.

Marion Spillway Road (Town of Elmore) is still pending closure.

Speigner Circle (Town of Deatsville)

Railroad Street (Town of Deatsville)

CSX advises this maintenance schedule is subject to changes due to both delays and accelerations of the work schedule.
