Press Release
Elmore County Officials Open Roads but urge Caution

The following roads in Elmore County have reopened:

Redland Road from Rock Springs to Friendship Road
Friendship Road from Redland Road to Cherokee Trail
Friendship Road from Indian Trail to Dark Corners Road

All county-maintained roads in Elmore County have been reopened by the Elmore County Highway Department today as of 2:30 p.m. There may remain numerous locations where travel on roads and bridges may be slick due to lingering effects of the wintry precipitation, especially during the overnight hours where temperatures will fall back below freezing. During the overnight hours it is likely that water that has ponded on or is draining across roadways will freeze creating occasional icy patches. Please continue to use extreme caution while driving.

The following communities are specifically impacted: From west to east: Titus, Weoka, Central, Eclectic, Kowaliga and Friendship.
The Elmore County EMA will do its best to keep the public informed of any changes with regards to the closures. Citizens can check EMA’s website at www.elmorecoema.com for updates that will be posted to the website as they become available.
