The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a
* Tornado Warning for…
Northern Elmore County in east central Alabama…
* Until 1000 PM CDT.
* At 935 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Jordan Lake, or 9 miles northwest of Wetumpka,
moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD…Tornado.
SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* Locations impacted include…
Eclectic, Santuck, Weoka Mills, Jordan Lake, Ten Cedar Estates,
Kowaliga Bridge, Dexter, Western Lake Martin, Southern Lake Martin,
Holtville, Central, Jordan Dam and Yates Reservoir.
